Research Positions

Research Technologist I

The primary functions of this position are to conduct data entry and processing, perform experimental procedures and record data. Position will assist with data acquisition sessions and calibrate and operate a variety of laboratory equipment.

Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in a related field of science and six months of related experience.

Research Technologist II

The primary functions of this position are to manage scheduling, supervision, and direction of human translational research projects. The main responsibilities will be to coordinate experiments related to human spinal cord injury research and assist in the management of laboratory projects.

Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in a related field of science and two years of related experience.

Research Coordinator

The primary functions of this position are to coordinate and schedule work flow and personnel for research activities. Plan, implement, and evaluate research project components and procedures. Conduct various experimental procedures on research projects. Manage regulatory compliance. Research, prepare, and edit project related proposals, manuscripts, policies, and associated documents. Train and supervise research staff.

Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 6 years of experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.

Research Engineer

The primary functions of this position include design and fabrication of devices and development of processes based on research needs. Troubleshooting hardware malfunctions for all instrumentation and computers. Assist in the design and modification of experimental technique. Collaborate with Programmer Analyst to integrate all systems to current acquisition software or develop new interfaces for acquisition as needed.

Minimum requirements are a Master’s degree in a related field of engineering and one year of related experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements.
